Luulane's Poem
The First Day
by Christina Rossetti
I wish I could remember the first day,
First hour, first moment of your meeting me;
If bright or dim the season it might be;
Summer or winter for aught I can say.
So, unrecorded did it slip away,
So blind was i to see and to forsee,
So dull to mark the budding of my tree
That would not blossom, yet, for many a May.
If only I could recollect it! SuchA day of days! I let it come and goAs traceless as a thaw of bygone snow.
It seemed to mean so little, meant so much!
If only now I could recall that touch,
First touch of hand in hand! - Did one but know!

I Sing
by Emily Dickinson
I sing to use the waiting
My bonnet but to tie,
And close the door unto my house
No more to do have I
?Till his best step approaching,
We journey to the day,
And tell each other how we sung
To keep the Dark away.
My River
by Emily Dickinson
My river runs to thee.
Blue sea, wilt thou welcome me?
My river awaits reply.
Oh! sea, look graciously.
I?ll fetch thee brooks
from spotted nooks.
Say, sea,
Take me!
